About Magdalene Manor
Born in south Louisiana to Acadian French roots, Senate has long been drawn to the quiet eloquence of objects and the lived-in narratives they hold. From childhood she absorbed a simple creed: details matter, quality endures, and history shapes the spaces we inhabit. Those lessons guided a distinguished career in Finance and Budget —roles that carried her from Washington, DC, to Italy and Boston—before a global pause redirected her path. When the pandemic arrived, she left government life to devote herself to her greatest undertaking: raising her five children.
Years later, sustained by a devoted husband and sharpened by the formidable discipline of motherhood, Senate found herself once again listening closely — to objects, to history, and to a long-held calling. While sourcing abroad, she encountered a centuries-old painting of Mary Magdalene: contemplative, worn, and resolute. The moment was quiet, but unmistakable. The painting did not feel acquired so much as entrusted. Magdalene Manor was born from that recognition.
Today, Senate specializes in design that celebrates provenance and personality—curating historic finds and thoughtfully layered interiors that reflect how families truly live. Each piece is selected not merely for its beauty, but for the story it brings into a home.
Everyone has a story. Let Magdalene Manor help tell yours.
