This woven tapestry panel depicts a romantic pastoral scene inspired by the French Rococo tradition—figures gathered in leisure, music, and quiet flirtation amid an idealized countryside. Though its imagery echoes the 18th century, the tapestry itself dates to the late 19th or early 20th century, a period when historic French designs were revived and woven for domestic interiors.
